Here is the link to the original post to see what this project was all about.
Before we received our envelope, the Embassy kindly sent an email with these documents attached.
In our envelope we had:
- A handout describing the elements of the flag of Spain.
- A picture of a Spanish castle.
- Two reproductions of maps of Spain. One was a topographical map and one showed the different provinces.
- A recipe for Tortilla de Patatas. I love Spanish patatas so this will be fun.
Muchas Gracias!

What a wonderful idea!! I remember when I was young, everybody had to pick a country and write to the embassy for materials, and then we all shared them in class. I never thought to bring this to a homeschool. What a great project! I am looking forward to seeing more posts in this series.
We live in Germany and visited Spain. My blog has lots of posts focused on food, and monuments from different European countries. Here are my posts on Spain.

I don't think I ever would have thought to email or write countries, so I'm glad you shared this idea! Thanks for linking up to Trivium Tuesdays!
This is such a great way to learn about a country! Thanks for sharing at Favorite Resources :)
Thanks ladies - it's a great project for armchair travels.
I always forget that you can email countries for things, thanks for that reminder!
Hopping over from Geography hop.
